ABOUT ME
812 people. That's how many folks lived in my hometown of New London, Minnesota. At 21 I drove into Nashville on I-24, saw that skyline and thought, well, this is not New London. Took a while, but the city showed me it had a small-town soul underneath all that noise.
For a lot of years I made my living singing on other people's records: Cody Johnson, Justin Moore, Niko Moon, Travis Denning and plenty more. Those sessions taught me what makes a song actually work. The whole time, I kept writing my own. Turns out I was just saving them up.
