HOW A SESSION WORKS
1. SEND THE SONG
Send a 2-mix of the track with a separate lead vocal on its own track, at the session's original sample rate and bit depth. Pro Tools sessions are welcome too. Lyrics are a big help, if you have them. Have specific parts in mind? Include a note.
2. JASON BUILDS THE PARTS
Most clients leave the parts to Jason. He hears what the song needs, from a simple third and fifth to doubles, stacks and gang vocals, and records them at Bedbug Studios in Kingston Springs. Most sessions are remote; if the gig calls for it, he'll come to your studio.
3. YOU GET THE FILES
Everything comes back in your original file type, sample rate and bit depth, consolidated from the top of the session so it drops straight in. Each main part is on its own track, and gang, group or choir vocals come as stems, one per part, so you keep control of the balance. Doubles are available on request, and so are Pro Tools sessions.
